In July 2021, Lendlease formed a joint venture with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) to invest in an investment fund dedicated to the Italian real estate sector. CPP Investments and Lendlease have agreed on a 50:50 joint investment of approximately 400 million euros equity investment in the Fund to develop and maintain ownership of 150,000 m2 of the 480,000 m2 allocated to Lendlease, the West Gate. The total value of the investment for the creation of new innovative spaces such as laboratories, incubators and coworking spaces in this first phase of development amounts to over 85 million euros.
Lendlease is a transnational real estate operator with a registered office in Australia. One of the largest construction companies in the world (over $10 billion in revenues), in 2019 signed an agreement to develop all US properties of the Gool Lendlease specializes in a large regeneration, development and urban renewal projects (e.g. London 2012 Olympics Village). Its global operational headquarters are currently London, Sydney, Melbourne and Milan.
